We're Not Gonna Take It

We're not gonna take it
No, we ain't gonna take it
We're not gonna take it anymore

We've got the right to choose and
There ain't no way we'll lose it
This is our life, this is our song
We'll fight a 1000 legions
Don't pick our destiny 'cause
You don't know us, you don't belong

We're not gonna take it
No, we ain't gonna take it
We're not gonna take it anymore

Oh you're so condescending
Your goal is never ending
We don't want nothin', not a thing from you
Your life is trite and jaded
Boring and confiscated
If that's your best, your best won't do

Whoa.....................
Whoa...
We're right/yeah
We're free/yeah
We'll fight/yeah
You'll see/yeah

Oh we're not gonna take it
No, we ain't gonna take it
Oh we're not gonna take it anymore

Oh we're not gonna take it
No, we ain't gonna take it
Oh we're not gonna take it anymore
No way!

Whoa...
Whoa...
We're right/yeah
We're free/yeah
We'll fight/yeah
You'll see/yeah

We're not gonna take it
No, we ain't gonna take it
We're not gonna take it anymore

We're not gonna take it, no!
No, we ain't gonna take it
We're not gonna take it anymore

Just you try and make us
We're not gonna take it
Come on
No, we ain't gonna take it
You're all worthless and weak
We're not gonna take it anymore
Now drop and give me twenty
We're not gonna take it
A Pledge pin
No, we ain't gonna take it
On your uniform
We're not gonna take it anymore

Women's Rights

Women's rights have changed dramatically from the 1970's to now. In the 1970's women were just beginning to gain the same rights as the men. Today women may not have a law that says we are equal, but we can do almost everything that a man can do. We achieve great things and work just as hard as men do. Even without anything written in the constitution I feel that women can do anything that a man can do and get away with it. If anyone tried to tell them that they could not do something they would get in trouble with the law. For these reasons I think that in 2010 men and women are completely equal and that they don't need anything written down to tell them that.

JFK

1. One thing that I learned about JFK was that he had a major impact on the development of programs for people with mental retardation. Another thing that I learned was that JFK sent a message written on a coconut to people hoping that someone would find it and come to his rescue. The last thing that I learned at the museum was that he had eight brothers and sisters.
2. The most interesting parts of the trip were all the letters and the doodles made by JFK. Another interesting part was the coconut. The part that I found most interesting was the phone call between JFK and the governor and the tone in their voices.
3. I have no suggestions. I think that you should continue to go on the field trip and I learned a lot there!
4. My opinion on JFK himself is a wonderful person. I think he had great ideas and that he also had great expectations for this nation. I also feel that JFK did plenty to be considered one of the best presidents of all time. He had a major effect on civil rights movements and many people were inspired by him. Before this field trip I knew very little about JFK, now I know so much and I can say that I am a big fan of him and his philosophies.

The Butter Battle

When the Yooks were about to destroy our nation
We lost all patience
Even though they eat their bread butter side down
They never once had a frown
This whole battle will go on forever
Because the Yooks and the Zooks will never say never
They will fight until they are satisfied and so will we
I now realize that this battle is pointless
For we will never agree or see eye to eye
At the problem that lies before our eyes...
They eat their bread butter side down.
